Project Description

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles for Non-Terrestrial Communications and Sensing

Funded by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (Staff Exchange Programme), the UNITE project aims to leverage the collective benefits of satellites and drones for advanced non-terrestrial networks targeting 6G communications. Project objectives include deploying intelligent unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) using data-driven analysis, developing realistic channel models for non-terrestrial applications and creating efficient data transmission strategies for reliable information delivery.

Furthermore, researchers will work on robust signal processing and networking algorithms and on effective non-terrestrial communication methods based on network information from non-terrestrial sensing.
